STP Mentioned in Ignites

The trade group has joined with SIFMA and DTCC in warning against advancing to same-day settlement, saying it would be too costly and disruptive to trading infrastructure.
STP’s resident expert, Kaisha Schnoll, AVP of Trade Settlements, said, “While the benefits of transitioning to T+1 are evident, there are additional impacts that have not been addressed. Issues such as poor settlement performance, insufficient automation, and delays could particularly jeopardize relationships with smaller brokers and custodians.”
